Our Markree wedding packages include exclusive use of Markree Castle, which offers a stunning setting with mature trees, a rose garden and grounds along the river Unshin for unforgettable photographs. Our packages also include a dedicated wedding team to advise couples on every aspect of their day.

The most important part of the package and the real highlight of the day is the five-course wedding banquet. Using only the finest of locally-produced ingredients, we guarantee a superb dining experience for you and your guests.

EXCEPTIONAL STYLE

Markree Castle – Exclusively yours!

Dedicated event managers and wedding team to ease & guide you through the planning of your special day.

CEREMONY OPTIONS

Markree Castle is an approved venue for civil ceremonies, civil partnerships, humanist ceremonies, spiritualist ceremonies and blessings.

Choose to have an outdoor garden terrace or woodland ceremony, or use our onsite chapel.

Our onsite ceremony fee is €1200.

CASTLE RECEPTION

Exclusive use of all reception rooms, Observatory and bars. Selection of homemade canapés with your choice of arrival drinks, still & sparkling filtered water and tea & coffee.

WEDDING BANQUET

A five or six course celebration banquet with various sumptuous options depending on your selected package.

Our vegetarian, vegan and allergens menus are always available, offering all of your guests’ options.

A half bottle of wine per person will be served during your banquet and a prosecco toast will be poured for all guests at speeches.

EVENING RECEPTION

The evening food with tea & coffee is served in our Butlers Kitchen with your wedding cake. Late night bar included & dancing till late.

FIRST DANCE

Have the most amazing first dance in one of our 3 unique locations, under the lights in our courtyard, on the garden terrace or in our woodland area.

DÉCOR

Printed personalised menus and table plan, as well as place names for top table. Printed table names if required, ceremonial sword for cake cutting and microphone available for speeches.

Tables are dressed with gold chiffon cloths, cream lace overlay and gold candelabras. One large floral arrangement in our long gallery, with emphasis put on soft candlelight throughout the castle.

ACCOMMODATION

Markree Castle has 31 unique original castle bedrooms. These are available at a rate from €235 bed & breakfast, based on two people sharing (2024 Pricing). All rooms must be booked.

Wedding Suite and 2 complimentary rooms included.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Minimum numbers of 140 for Friday, Saturday, Festive dates, and Bank Holiday Sundays.

Minimum numbers of 80 on all other days.
