Everything about the wedding was just a dream come true… the location (of course!) the music, the decoration, the ceremony, the food (was amazing btw… 10/10), you and your great work, your staff, everything! Genuinely, down to every last detail, we all had an incredible time and we could not recommend hosting an event at Markree Castle more. 
The team are so professional and even though it is a castle, it feels like home.
The food was delicious, all of our guests have been raving about it! The service was so well managed and so professional. The rooms are stunning, even if we didn't spend too much time in them.

We had truly the most magical wedding at Markree Castle, and I can't recommend it enough.
The Castle itself is the most picturesque with beautiful grounds and historical architecture which provided a stunning backdrop for our special day. As a bride from the USA, it felt like stepping into a dreamy European castle, complete with charming gardens and breathtaking views.
The staff at Markree Castle went above and beyond to ensure our day was flawless. They anticipated our every need and accommodated our requests with grace and efficiency.
The food was delicious with every dish being expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The kitchen and bar team at Markree Castle truly exceeded our expectations, and we were delighted with the quality and variety of the menu.

We cannot praise the entire staff at Markree Castle highly enough (in particular Deirdre), who were beyond helpful and responsive with any questions we had in the lead up to our wedding. They have everything down to a fine art, from the scheduling, timing, catering, drinks and use of the venue! Every guest ws blown away by the venue and what it had to offer. Once upon a time there was a majestic Castle where wedding dreams began, and Markree Castle is where dreams do come true!
From the moment we saw it 30 years ago, we had a love affair with it. So we booked it in January 2023 and 15 moths later got married in all its splendour and beauty. Every bed unique and beautiful drawing rooms to relax with our guests. Then the food which was better than any Michelin restaurant in the whole of Ireland. The staff are the real reason that makes Markree Castle magical. From Nicholas, Deirdre, Eoin and Emer, who plan everything for you and do everything on the day. All we can say is that everyone was wonderful and caring to all our guests. 
No wonder it is now the best wedding venue in Ireland.

From the first phone call to the wedding day, the process was smooth, professional, efficient, caring, and attentive. The food and venue were outstanding and the atmosphere was festive and welcoming. The team are amazing, especially Eoin who handled everything in the dining room to the music afterwards, nothing was too much. Deirdre, Nicholas, and Emer and the entire staff are exceptional and I would highly recommend Markree Castle as a most wonderful venue for your special day. The Markree Castle team were exceptional to work with from the moment we had a virtual viewing with Dierdre. They were extremely professional and you can tell that they take pride in their work and are well versed in hosting weddings at the venue. Throughout the planning process, they helped steered us right and were very responsive and flexible to any queries we had leading up to the wedding. On the day, the staff were phenomenal, all the guests commented on not just the venue itself, the decor, and the food, but also on how fantastic the staff were.

I cannot say enough good things about how incredible hosting our destination wedding at Markree Castle was! We are from New Jersey and decided to host our wedding at a castle in Ireland because, why not!
From the initial planning to the day itself, Deirdre and her team were a well-oiled machine! They made the entire planning process a breeze, far easier than I think it would have been in the States.
Day-of, the Markree Castle team was always there and ready to help but was able to strike the perfect balance of being available but not interrupting the getting ready process or any of the festivities.
And yes, the venue is just as incredible as the photos on the website, if not better! It couldn’t have been a more perfect venue for our fairytale wedding! The Markree Castle team truly goes above and beyond in all aspects and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone considering hosting their wedding, whether it is a destination wedding or not, in Markree Castle.
